Last October we were surprised by the announcement of the preview of Like a Yakuza Pirate Dragon. Even if it was only a few days, there will be less waiting to spend hours and hours on the new delivery of Yakuza. And today we’re talking to you about it again as new details arrive on various aspects.
Regarding the fighting stylesin it, players can dynamically switch between two styles: “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog”, each with their own unique qualities and flashy thermal actions to decimate enemies:
- When fighting using the “Mad Dog” style, players can freely combine punch and leg attacks with stabs to perform a variety of lightning-fast combos and aerial combos to defeat enemies in style. Players can fill their Madness Gauge by dealing damage and summoning duplicates to fight with Majima’s destructive force.
- With the “Sea Dog” style, players can wield two sabers to combine exhilarating pirate-style combos, leading to brutal finishing moves. As players progress through the story, they will also be able to use the Madness Gauge to summon four types of dark deities using treasures known as “Dark Instruments.”
New Details About Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza Revealed
Regarding the naval combatPirate life revolves around freedom and exploration, and players can sail the vast ocean, explore treasure islands, and visit lighthouses in lands near and far, all while keeping an eye out for dangerous enemies who are waiting for them.
- Players will steer their ship, the Goro Maru, away from enemy fire and bombard enemies with cannon volleys before boarding the opposing ship to eliminate the rival captain and his crew in all-out deck combat.
- To win naval battles, players will need to modify their ship and strategically deploy their crew. Rearrange the appearance and design of your ship to your liking, then strengthen the armor and spruce up your weaponry.
- To emerge victorious, players will have to rely on the skills of Majima and his various teammates in deck battles. Each crew member brings different traits: some focus more on attacking, while others focus on healing.
- The Madlantis Pirate Coliseum is a battle arena like no other, with a wide variety of challenges: from one-on-one combat to chaotic battles against nine other crews. All kinds of destructive discoveries await Majima and his loyal crew.
