There is a new update on the Xbox version of the city building simulation Cities: Skylines II.
In an update, Paradox Interactive has informed about the status of the console version. The developer announced that the stability and performance goals it had set for itself were not achieved.
Cities: Skylines II will therefore not be released for Xbox consoles in October, as there is no finished release candidate (RC) to meet the target date.
Regarding the state of the console version, it says: “While we are making slow but steady progress, there are still unresolved issues that affect the game in ways that detract from the gaming experience we strive to provide.”
“We expect to receive a new RC that will undergo a thorough review in August. This review will determine whether we can begin the submission process and provide a firm release date or if further issues need to be addressed.”
Cities: Skylines II for consoles was originally scheduled to be released in October 2023 with the PC version and Xbox Game Pass. So far, it is only available for PC and can be accessed through PC Game Pass.
