Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the games of the generation. It is true that this did not go as planned, but CD Projekt Red managed to turn the situation around thanks to updates and a lot of work. This all culminated in the release of its first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, which showed everything this game could be.
However, a second expansion was initially planned, which would take us to visit the Moon. An idea that we will never see, but which has been filtered various images.
The Moon would be the setting for the second expansion of Cyberpunk 2077
These are, in general, conceptual arts, plans and file and map repositories which gives us an idea of what this journey from V to our satellite might have looked like. A first expansion outside of the original map which would succeed Phantom Liberty and which would make it possible to discover the colonization of the Moon, where more than 58,000 people live.
However, We will never see these ideas, since the development of Cyberpunk 2077 officially ended a few months ago. Since then, the different teams have been moved to other projects, such as the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 called Porject Orion, or the new The Witcher trilogy. Maybe we’ll be able to visit the moon in the franchise’s newest game?
