We’re back on Sunday and it’s time to review each week the most important news that we have brought to you in the Xbox generation. As we always say, these 7 days keep things more interesting than it seems, even some of them will be decisive for the future of some other franchises. We’ll surely miss a few along the way, but let’s try to cover everything as briefly as possible.
And also as we usually do, we begin by highlighting the new deals with Gold this week, which continue to provide unmissable discount title opportunities. But hurry, because tomorrow is the last day before they are renewed for others. And before getting to the heart of the matter, we must give the most important title without a doubt: Gears of War will have a live action movie and an anime series for adults, all produced by Netflix.
Gears of War has returned to the present day with a bang
And it is that with a sixth installment still distant, at least we believe, and Gears 5 without new updates for months, the saga had lost its strength between the most present Halo Infinite and the rest of Xbox titles GameStudios. And honestly, it was worth remembering that the Xbox is home to one of the great action sagas in the history of video games.
One who doesn’t want to miss this movie is actor Dave Bautista, who once played Marcus Fenix to make him a skin for the fifth installment. And with his message, he makes it very easy for producers. For our part, we have no problem, really.
We can’t forget our dear and best friend for life, Xbox Game Pass, which this week saw the addition of Football Manager 2023 and the excellent Return to Monkey Island. But even better is next week, because next Tuesday, November 15, finally arrives Repentancethe novelty of Obsidian, of which I assure you of the promises, and Somervillefrom the creator of Inside or Limbo, making it essential to save time for both.
Before talking about Infinite Halo It was in the most rabid news and never better said, because on the 8th it received its long-awaited winter update, which not only incorporates a kind of “mid-season” in its multiplayer, but also the long-awaited online co-op campaign and Forge Mode. If you want to know more about all the new multiplayer stuff, we have some impressions from my partner David that explain everything perfectly.
In our mix, already entering all kinds of news, we can highlight several, such as the fact that Sonic Frontiers has finally launched, very successfully, by the way, or that Remedy has finally announced that it is starting the development of Control 2, also with 505 Games as a partner. In other good news, Forza Horizon 5 already has Ray Tracing on PC, but in racing, making the most of the new graphics and delivering stunning visuals.
But there have also been some negative things, like Mick Gordon, the composer of the new DOOM soundtrack, laying out his issues with DOOM Eternal director Marty Stratton taking the community to his side. Electronic Arts has also returned “to its old ways” by permanently closing the Project Cars franchise. And Microsoft also messed it up a bit with their latest Windows 11 update which resulted in an issue that decreases performance with some GPUs and of course they didn’t like it at all that’s why they have ended up suspending it.
Finally, special mention to our beautiful Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S which are already 2 YEARS old and although it is early to dedicate huge articles to them, we have dedicated a small one that reminds us that this new generation arrived in November 2020. Until next week!
