The director of the new film to reboot Resident Evil recently revealed the official title and revealed more details.
The screenwriter and director of the new Resident Evil film has given away the title of the flick.
According to Johannes Roberts, the official film title is Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
As has long been known, the film reboot will contain a version of the first two parts of Capcom’s famous video game series, which has been cast with a new cast of actors.
Roberts said in a recent interview that the film spanned “a fateful night,” and only two locations in the Spencer estate and police station tell the story.
He also stressed that Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is not a remake, it goes in a completely different direction. He hopes to create his own thing with the franchise, which deals with the lore as well as the story and the material of the games.
