There are many names in this industry, some from beloved, respected and cult sagas, that have managed to earn a place in our hearts. It is true that not all of them were successful and that some of them disappeared, but today we return with one of the most appreciated of all.

Prince of Persia It was a sensation in the late 80sa time when video games were making a comeback thanks to the revitalization of the industry. In this context, Jordan Mechner gave us one of the most innovative games of its time, and today he celebrates something very special.

We celebrate the 35th anniversary of Prince of Persia

Today is a very special day, because we celebrate with great joy the 35 years since the arrival of an innovative game that dazzled us on October 3, 1989. In Prince of Persia we controlled a character who had to save a princess, crossing platforms with the added challenge of doing it in 1 hour. All this using the rotoscoping technique, which offered an authentic experience that captivated us from the first moment.

Luckily, after a hiatus of over a decade, this character and the franchise returned in style. This year they did it with two exceptional games: the first, The Lost Crown, with a Metroidvania aspect (you can read my analysis on this link), on the other hand, a roguelite experience with The Rogue Prince of Persia, both with careful gameplay that reminds us of the trajectory of this saga. Without a doubt, now is the right time to enjoy Prince of Persia again.

Congratulations from Generation Xbox!
