The games that fulfill excellence, or at least those that we have been able to analyze
This year of 2020 has certainly been a weird one. Pandemic, quarantines and uncertainty in all areas. However, there is something that is always capable of bringing us joy and pulling us away from reality, no matter how hard it is. I’m talking about video games, audiovisual entertainment that brings us thousands of adventures every year. For this reason, this year we have decided to research the 5 games with the highest scores in our review to recommend such proposals. You may have played more than one before, but if not, here are 5 great recommendations.
5- The call of the sea [9.2]
Out of the blue presented their first game with fantastic results. As you can read from Rios’ analysis, Call of the Sea offers adventure, suspense, and a lot of Lovecraft on a lost island.
4- Gears Tactics [9.3]
Loli has had her good share of Gears this year. However, who knew that a tactical RPG would suit one of Microsoft’s star franchises so well. You can get to know the proposal better in the web analysis.
3- Ori and the will of the wisps [9.4]
Second parts have never been good … well, every rule has its exception. The sequel to Moon Studios’ acclaimed work even improves upon the original formula and brings us the pinnacle. In this turn of the page of the saga, Mario has given us a fantastic analysis of a fantastic game.
2- Undermine [9.5]
Exploration, adventure and dungeon; simple bars that always meet. Undermine knows how to bring the best of the genre to our Xbox One, which is why it reached the second place (shared), thanks to Loli’s analysis.
2- Yakuza like a dragon [9.5]
Yakuza is a saga of tradition. It’s hard to change all the mechanics and main players of a franchise without having a disaster. However, Yakuza 7 manages to keep the type (and what a type!) With its new protagonist and the mechanics of the JRPG. We miss Rios analysis.
1- DOOM Eternal [9.7]
A single game could reach number 1. DOOM Eternal manages to bring back all the violence, frenzy, and drama again. Not only does it outperform its predecessor, but it also brings new mechanics, more exploration, and even a cohesive story to follow. Long live the Doom Slayer! Rios tells us everything in the corresponding analysis.
In forging this top, we left some great games that scored a 9 or higher in our reviews. Among them we can highlight such magnificent works as Yakuza Zero, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or Immortals Fenyx Rising, even Cyberpunk 2077 managed to reach high levels. So, We can only drink for another year as fantastic (at least) as this one in the world of video games..
