There is bad news at Avalanche Studios, where 50 jobs are being cut and two studios are being closed.
Avalanche Studios, which is home to Just Cause, among other things, is also now forced to take drastic steps. As the company announced in a statement, it is closing its two studios in New York and Montreal and cutting the 50 jobs associated with them at the same time.
This means that around 9 percent of the workforce will be laid off, while the studios in Stockholm, Malmö and Liverpool will be retained.
As those responsible – almost as a matter of course – stated, this is an extremely difficult decision, but they believe that this step is necessary to lead the company into a stable and sustainable future.
