Beyond Good and Evil 2 was introduced at E3 2017 and is one of those long, very long development titles. Although we’ve seen the title several times since it was formalized, it is still very mysterious today and imminent commercialization seems unlikely. And if Ubisoft Montpellier is fully invested in its development, a new project could make the wait even longer.
On LinkedIn we actually discover that the French studio is in business on another game in parallel with BGE2. In a recent vacancy, the Ubisoft Montpellier teams share the goal of the proposed position: Manage the community strategy of Beyond Good and Evil 2 and another unannounced game.
Of course, we won’t know more about this new title for the time being. By the way, please note that at Ubisoft Montpellier it is common to work on several projects at the same time. The studio is indeed used to this and was able to develop the latest Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon while BGE2 was already in the works.
With the active recruitment for the position of community developer, Ubisoft intends to bring the brand to life soon. See you later this year no doubt therefore for an announcement about this new title.
