The Ultimate Edition of the action title Control receives various graphics and performance modes on the next-gen consoles.
Remedy has on his website the different setting modes of the Control: Ultimate Edition presented. The next-gen version of the action game runs on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in performance mode at 60 frames per second and a resolution of 1440p, which is upscaled to 4K.
The graphics mode, on the other hand, reduces the frame rate to 30 frames per second, but offers ray tracing transparency and reflections with a resolution of 1440p upscaled to 4K. This mode is also selectable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
For the Xbox Series S, only a performance mode with 60 frames per second and a resolution upscaled from 900p to 1080p is available. Ray tracing functions are not included. Remedy advises that this is a limitation of the Microsoft console, not its game.
All of the above features will be patched to the digital version of Control: Ultimate Edition on February 2, 2021. For the physical version of the title, the patch will be released on March 2, 2021.
