At long last, Undertale is coming to Xbox! For the first time ever, players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X have | It’s the opportunity to experience one of indie games’ favorite RPGs when it launches tomorrow, March 16, on Xbox Game Pass.
As many of you know Undertale is not exactly new to the gaming world. In fact, last September we celebrated the fifth anniversary of the original PC release with a free concert streamed on YouTube (which you should definitely watch – after you’ve finished the game, of course!). But the wonderful thing about it Undertale is that despite its retro-inspired graphics that are sure to bring back memories of some of the 16-bit classics from yesterday, the experience itself is still very fresh and distinctive.
in the UndertaleEvery monster is an individual and every interaction is unique. You can choose to fight or show mercy – and how you play and what you choose will affect the outcome of the story. With a fun and heartwarming cast of adorable characters, an incredibly catchy soundtrack, and truly standout RPG gameplay, it’s no surprise the game continues to surprise and delight new players to this day.
If you were paying attention, you may have noticed that the above PC version of the Undertale has been available in the Microsoft Store for some time. While the Xbox version offers a broadly similar experience, there are a few Xbox-specific enhancements designed to provide a more comfortable time for gamers playing on a home console. Because of this, Progress and Saving of Data are unfortunately not compatible between the two versions. But it also means that, much like previous console versions, the Xbox version has its own little shrine of exclusive content to watch out for.
We know it took a long time, but we are very happy to finally bring something Undertale for Xbox players around the world. Whether this is your first time exploring the underworld or your 50th time, we hope the experience is unforgettable!
Undertale will be released on March 16 with Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S and will be available on the Microsoft Store for Xbox for $ 14.99 (does not support Xbox Play Anywhere).
