The fashion/fever of NFTs still seems to be relevant as evidenced by the curious collaboration between Yu Suzuki and the company OASYX that they are working to launch on the market. 1000 Virtua Fighter NFTs which will include 11 characters from the first three games arranged in an “exclusive environment to create a unique experience for both classic and new IP fans”.
The plan for these NFTs is to lay the groundwork for a metaverse of avatars that will come in the future, depending on what published the company responsible for performing this task.

Sega, for its part, gave the approval for your franchise license but he is not officially involved in the NFTs, remember that Yuzuki left the company at the end of the 2000s and that he had been in charge of the Virtua Fighter saga since the first title, in 1993.
At one point Sega, unlike other companies, had become interested in exploring the weird world of NFTs, but it all seems to have remained mere interest. Harumi Satomi, the CEO of the company that created Sonic, recently said he was considering reviewing plans for implementing the technology. Perhaps the success or failure of what happens with Virtua Fighter marks the fate of its intentions.
