The image’s credibility will be a key contender for the next generation of consoles. We've already seen how the theme changes each cycle, but ultimately the graphic phase is a great engine for measuring each program. It is pointless to say that there will be better AI, or even more physical, eventually "what goes in the eye".
Therefore programmable graphics engines are an important piece of the entire cycle of generation. For years now we are seeing Unreal Engine variants, whether Unity or Cry Engine wrong has not been so competitive with the Epic Games engine. While it is true that best practices are often seen in first-party engines, there are never any third-party options.
UNIGINE 2 can be a good rival
Today I'm talking about UNIGINE 2, a Russian graphics engine that has been running for some time but so far has not been accessible to everyone. The biggest complaint this engine had was the complexity of being able to test it. Fortunately, engine owners have released the Community Edition; which basically allows students and young subjects to try it out.
UNIGINE 2 is outstanding variety of functions, strength and durability. The official bodies put it on the level of Unreal Enige 4, and emphasized that it makes sense. Its interpretive power is amazing, and for example, the following video.
UNIGINE 2 features unique earth models, volumetric clouds, logical locations, and more. Now the question is, will we see something like this in the Xbox Series X?
