In HUMANITYthe historical turn-based strategy game of Amplitude Studios, the developers always wanted there to be more ways to win than just military domination. And while the game’s unified win condition, Fame, was a first step in that direction, the studio is now set to go much further with the introduction of the first major expansion, “Together we reign”.
New features like the World Congress, Embassies, and Agents will help players see the world in a new light and resolve conflicts differently.
Content of “Together We Rule”
- Congress of Humanity — Participate in a forum between empires within the Congress of Mankind. This congress will allow players to vote and decide on world doctrines and to arbitrate international conflicts together.
- Embassies — Use this new tool to sign agreements that benefit both empires, such as joint training or research agreements. Or use your piece’s influence to force an empire to take specific actions to your advantage, such as reducing war support or imposing demands.
- Officers – Use this new family of units to gain influence. They will also allow you to infiltrate, sabotage and misinform other empires.
- Diplomat Affinity + 6 new Cultures — The new “Diplomat” Affinity allows your cultures to play a more active role in global diplomacy.
- – Their direct ability allows them to demilitarize a territory for 10 turns, while their passive ability allows all their units, beyond Agents, to gain Influence.
- – The 6 new cultures are: the Sumerians, the Chinese Han dynasty, the Bulgarians, the Swiss, the Scots and the Singaporeans.
- 6 New Wonders, New Story Events, and New Music — Monument Valley, Pamukkale, Chocolate Hills, Eldgjá, Palace of Versailles and World Congress Headquarters.
Big extra free update
Whether or not players decide to opt for these new diplomatic tools, a major free update will be released for HUMANITY for everyone with the expansion pack. It will add new stealth mechanics, revamp independent cities, allow third-party combat boosters, and add new UI options and improvements.
“Together We Rule” will arrive in fall 2022.
