The planned Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.2 has been postponed. The studio cited past hacker attacks as the reason for the postponement, in which sensitive data and the entire source code for a wide variety of games were stolen.
In a public opinion CD Projekt announced the following: “We absolutely wanted to stick to the schedule that we communicated some time ago for the 1.2 patch of Cyberpunk 2077. The recent cyber attack on the IT infrastructure of our studio and the planned scope of the update unfortunately mean that we will not be able to meet this deadline – we need additional time for our work. “
“Our goals for patch 1.2 exceed all previous updates we’ve released for Cyberpunk 2077. We have worked on numerous qualitative improvements and bug fixes – and we still have a lot to do to ensure that you receive them in the desired quality. With this in mind, we plan to release version 1.2 in the second half of March. “
“Of course, that’s not the news we wanted to share with you. But we want to make sure that this update is in the best possible condition when it is released. We will publish more information at a later date. “
