Set sail! Survival: Fountain of Youth is available now on PC and will be released later on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Survival: Fountain of Youth, the single-player open-world survival crafting game set in the 16th century Caribbean islands from developer Odinsoft and publisher Twin Sails Interactive, launches today in version 1.0 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will follow later this year.
The 1.0 release concludes Survival: Fountain of Youth’s journey through Early Access with a treasure trove of content, including Bimini Island, the fifth and final region.
There is also additional content such as quests, challenges, survival tasks, skill effects, bonuses, animals, weather types, achievements, a dangerous final boss, the Ark ship, QoL updates and the epic finale of the story.
Players join Juan Ponce de Leon’s legendary expedition to find the mysterious Fountain of Youth and set sail for the Caribbean, but brutal storms leave the crew stranded on a mysterious archipelago.
There, players must withstand the merciless elements and survive the wilderness with their skills and what little the island has to offer. They build a base, collect materials, craft equipment, manage resources and discover the secrets surrounding the mystical fountain of youth.
Players explore the islands in search of supplies, surviving crew members, and a way to escape. Trees and stones are used to build rudimentary buildings, rafts, tools, and weapons.
As new materials are found, players can upgrade to huts, entire ships, and even firearms. They can hunt the local animals, from chickens to buffalo, or fight for survival against bloodthirsty hunters like jackals, sharks, and pumas.
New and returning survivors can now try out the final region of Bimini Island, a new ship and mobile base called Ark, and new recipes including grenades, iron armor, trophies, and more.
They face the final boss who protects the island’s greatest treasure. The implementation of an adjustable difficulty system lets explorers choose between a more leisurely or very challenging experience.
“After a long time in Early Access, our vision for Survival: Fountain of Youth has now been fully realized,” says Stas Kotrutsa, Development Lead, Odinsoft. “A lot of time, effort and love has been put into this project and we couldn’t have done it without the support of the fans.”
Survival: Fountain of Youth 1.0 is available now on PC, with a 10% launch discount until May 28th, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions coming later this year. The game is available in English, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese.
