Xbox will receive, at least for now, two episodes of the saga; fan-favorite Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and the franchise’s latest installment, Age of Empires IV. Although the official network post does not provide many details regarding the arrival dates of Age of Empires IV, it does mention that it will arrive on consoles in 2023, while Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be available. January 31. 2023.

While Age of Empires IV is the episode that pulls the most tech muscle because it’s a fairly recent title, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is the remastered version of Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, a clear favorite among the saga’s most loyal fans for its additions and improvement over the first installment.
