Video material for the discontinued Mirror’s Edge 2 has appeared.
The original Mirror’s Edge from 2008 turned out to be a small surprise hit for EA, which prompted early considerations for a successor.
A Mirror’s Edge 2 was then internally under development from 2009 to 2011, but this should not have caused any cheers among those responsible at Electronic Arts and so this project was finally stopped. At the same time, however, with Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which was finally released in 2016, a new beginning of the series has been announced.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Mirror’s Edge series should have been planned as a trilogy, but because of the mixed ratings for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and its moderate sales figures, the plans at that time have probably been abandoned. According to VGChartz.com, the successor has only sold around a million times in the sum of all platforms.
