Producer Masaru Oyamada is thinking about a possible co-op mode for Visions of Mana, which could be added after release.
The action role-playing game Visions of Mana is scheduled to release this summer for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. In contrast to many of its predecessors, players in the upcoming spin-off will have to make do without co-op mode, at least for the time being.
However, new statements from producer Masaru Oyamada now give hope that a co-op mode could be added at some point after release:
“When we were pitching the game internally and discussing what it should be, we actually had a discussion about whether we should include a feature like that. As things evolved internally, we discussed the different things you can do in a multiplayer mode, but also some of the challenges that multiplayer presents.”
“Having multiple players could also impact the overall field design and pace of the game experience. But when I think about the series and look to the future, I have really fond memories of being able to go on a single adventure with your friends and do things together. I know what that experience is like and I want to think about adding features like that in the future.”
