The second Faction Focus trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin focuses on the sneaky Orruk Kruleboyz.
The second Faction Focus gameplay video for Frontier Developments’ real-time strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is now available and focuses on the brutal and cunning Orruk Kruleboyz.
The new gameplay video shows the savage squads of Kruleboyz and the lumbering monsters in action. Once the game launches, players will also be able to take command of this rowdy faction.
Cunning and cunning tactics are the Kruleboyz specialty. This swamp-dwelling Orruk warclan calls the bestial realm of Ghur their home. They will stop at nothing to defend it.
In Realms of Ruin, the Orruk Kruleboyz are led by the dastardly killabossen Dankfeer, whose goal is to destroy the Stormcast Eternals’ stronghold settlement of Harkanibus and establish himself as the dominant force in the wilds of Ghur.
The Kruleboyz will be playable in Realms of Ruin’s multi-faction cinematic single-player campaign as well as multiplayer.
Basic troop types include the beast killbows, whose ranged turrets can drain enemy health with their poisoned bolts, and the numerous Hobgrot Slits, which can expand their ranks while taking out their foes.
Larger monsters also aid them in their relentless attacks: the slush-creecha sloggoth is a two-legged hunter manned by a host of web-armed grots, ready to take on even the most agile fighter in ghur. Manned by a Kruleboyz rider, the devastating peatbe ast Troggoth can unleash a frenzied and devastating attack on all within range – including other Orruks.
The video also gives a glimpse into Realms of Ruin’s competitive multiplayer mode, which players recently got a chance to try out during the open beta. 1v1 and 2v2 modes are all about dominating the battlefield against warlords from around the world across a variety of maps and turning the tide of war in the players’ favour.
Since each faction has different strengths and weaknesses, the key to victory lies in capturing the Arcane Conduit’s resource points, as well as unleashing stronger troops than the enemy. In addition, as the game progresses, players should upgrade and specialize troops through the tech tree and control more victory points than the opponent.
The Orruk Kruleboyz are just one of four factions appearing in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. All units are inspired by their tabletop counterparts from Games Workshop’s fantasy universe. More factions and ways to play will be revealed soon.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is coming soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
