The ultimate celebration of Warhammer video games is back today – Warhammer Skulls just aired, bringing news on Xbox Warhammer games and huge discounts.
Hosted by Warhammer fanatic Rahul Kohli, who is participating for the second year in a row, the Skulls Showcase kicks off an exciting week of world premieres, new announcements and content unveilings for Xbox fans. Alongside this celebration, players can look forward to great deals and discounts on the Xbox and Windows Store, with savings of up to 80% during the event.
Let’s take a closer look at the Warhammer Skulls Festival announcements, reveals and updates:
Xbox fans will no doubt be pleased to hear Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 was announced following the world premiere trailer at Skulls, offering a first look at the story and revealing that both the Mechanicus and (!) Necron factions will be playable this time around. In addition, critically acclaimed composer Guillaume David returns once again to bring the setting to life with impressive music, while the gripping continuation of the Mechanicus saga is handled by veteran author Ben Counter, best known for his Black Library novels. Mechanicus 2 promises to be everything the beloved original was and more.
But that was not all: Focus Entertainment and Saber gave us a first look at BArhammer 40,000: Space Marine 23-player co-op campaign and online multiplayer elements. This came along with the announcement that digital pre-orders are now liveso that fans have the opportunity to secure their desired edition directly before the release on September 9th.

Warhammer 40,000: Bolters also returned and announced a new DLC expansion: Forges of Corruption. The indomitable Malum Caedo will return to action, fighting corruption in the Forges of Graia. Fans can look forward to new levels, enemies and weapons, as well as a new Horde mode – all in classic retro boomer shooter style. Can’t wait to kill heretics? Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Traders is back after a great start with its first expansion, Void Shadows, set to release on August 8th. Void Shadows gives us our first look at the secret Genestealer Cult and new companion Death Cult Assassin, taking fans even deeper into the darker side of the Empire.
Also part of the presentation were trailers for season 5 of Blood Bowl 3, which introduced the new Necromantic Horror faction (released on June 11th), a huge teaser of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesectorwhich lets us know that Astra Militarum and some new free units will soon be joining the fray, not to mention updates for the Game Pass favorite Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, It announced a new free update, Secrets of the Machine God, for June 25th.
Additionally, World of Tanks: Modern Armor showed his celebration of Warhammer 40,000 with the mighty tank Rogal Dorn coming to Xbox, while call of Duty has reminded us that this is your last chance to get the Warhammer 40,000-themed Tracer Packs. On Windows PC Total War: Warhammer 3 gave us a glimpse of the next free legendary hero, Karanak.
But the fun doesn’t end there – Game Pass subscribers can try out numerous Warhammer games between May 23 and 26 during the Xbox Free Play Days, including Blood Bowl 3, Rogue Trader, Realms of Ruin And Vermintide 2.
