The DC Comics universe will have a new video game
Warner Bros Montreal has a new AAA DC Comics game in the works according to a report (let’s take this with a grain of salt) after the lukewarm reception of Gotham Knights. WB Games owes an exceptional debt to fans after the few titles inspired by the comic book franchise, as happened with the resounding failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Indeed, it was possible to hear about a job at WB Montreal for a AAA title with the DC Comics franchise involved, although it was later changed. The DC allusions were removed, but the original said: that “they are looking for a senior producer who will work on AAA titles set in the DC Comics universe.”
The failures of titles like Marvel’s Avengers or Suicide Squad, the less appreciated Gotham Knights and many others, with a multitude of micro-transactions, made fans cry out loud. We, the players, are asking you to come back the right way like with the Batman Arkham trilogy, so we hope to have information on this soon.
On the other hand, Warner Bros Games has had huge success with Hogwarts Legacy, which also features story content DLC and a sequel to the game itself in progress. They have surely taken note of the way they should do things, without “friéondomos with micropayments” and offering unforgettable experiences.
