One of the most awaited moments by the Hispanic community is undoubtedly the launch of Rewind Hispano. This video, controversies and funding aside, is a special moment in which Alec Hernández and his team recap all the moments we have experienced in the year. With this year there are already five consecutive editions, since 2017 without interruption, and each year exceeds the previous one in production and invoicing.
And since five years is a special issue anyway, DHC Films, Alec’s production company, decided to throw a special viewing gala for the occasion. An appointment where the community, streamers and the press have come together to enjoy Rewind Hispano 2022 on the cinema screen, with an authentic cinematic experience at the Callao Cinemas in Madrid. And of course, Xbox Generation was there to tell you everything that happened.

The event took place in the famous Callao cinemas, in the heart of the capital, in a crowded square. On the one hand, passers-by take advantage of the festive festivities to visit Madrid and its illuminated streets, make the last purchases on New Year’s Eve and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of the city. On the other hand, the large number of fans who came to the edges of the cinema to be able to see their idols up close. Especially since an event of these characteristics always makes it possible to see people like Mister Jagger, Spursito, Gerard Romero and more celebrities from the streaming world
Inside the cinemas there is an idyllic setting. We were greeted at the entrance by a small display with some of the props and items that were used for the various stages this year. The Minecraft sword or character San who shares the stage with AuronPlay presided over both showcases. In addition, we were also able to observe relevant elements from previous editions, such as the Málaga shirt or the Infinity Gauntlet. Without a doubt, an authentic Rewind Museum with some of the most iconic elements from the editions launched over the years.
Once in theaters, we found a pleasant surprise from event sponsor Mahou and Rewind itself: a small bowl of popcorn to watch. If when we told you that we had been able to live the complete cinematic experience, it is for a reason. So once we got settled into our chairs and endured the craving everyone has when we grab a bowl of popcorn in a movie theater (yes, we’re talking about devouring it during trailers) we had to wait longer than necessary to be able to start the gala itself. After an hour and a half of waiting, Alec Hernández and his closest team, consisting of his brother and his partner with whom he started everything, began the Viewing Gala. A presentation in which they remembered the entire production team, who had not slept for several days, told us the anecdote that some scenes had been finished editing a few days before publication and, above all, they thanked everyone for their support and all the fans around the world.
behind that, we got to see the Rewind Hispano 2022 in all its glory on a cinema screen, a unique experience that gave her the cinematic touch she deserved. In addition, after viewing, they have prepared a surprise for us: a new video with false takes of the different recordings and scenes that make up this year’s video. Amusing and iconic moments and comedic scenes that prompted laughter from the stalls, comments and whispers about what we saw. Finally, Alec Hernández went on stage again to announce that since last December 30, we could see the making off of the Rewind on YouTube and that at the end of it they revealed if there would be a 2023 edition. or not. For now we’ll let it remain a mystery, but everything indicates that next year we will be able to enjoy this very special compilation again.
