We’re continuing the Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebrations in July with an epic Xbox FanFest Halo 3 Virtual Tournament, a new Xbox Fan Toolkit, Double Points on Xbox Game Pass quests, and more!
FanFest Halo 3 tournament
Grab a friend and step down the smash.gg ladder for uninterrupted open 2v2 matchmaking against teams of all skill levels. Play for your chance to win a share of $ 25,000 in prizes and show the world what you can do with our weekly qualifying rounds and series finals broadcasts. Play Xbox Series X, our fastest, most powerful console ever, Xbox Series S, with next-gen performance in our smallest console ever, Xbox One or PC.
This tournament is open to all Xbox FanFest fans in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico). To participate, log in or register at Xbox.com/FanFest and sign in to the Xbox FanFest Exclusives page (Note: only residents of North America see this exclusive). After you have registered, you will receive an email with a registration code to complete the tournament registration smash.gg/XboxFanFest.
We invite everyone to watch. The weekly qualifiers will be broadcast on Sundays (November 7th, July 18th, July 25th) at 11 a.m. PT and don’t miss the series finale on Saturday July 31st at 11 a.m. PT. Tune in and follow the channel on twitch.tv/Xbox.
competition format
- 2 days of open matchmaking ladders every Friday and Saturday for points.
- Weekly qualification games every Sunday in a double elimination bracket with the best 8 teams on Friday and Saturday.
- Series finals on July 31st in a double elimination round with the 16 best teams of the month.
- Each day there are different maps and game types that players must download in order to participate. (See smash.gg/XboxFanFest under “Game Types” to learn more.)
- There will also be an in-game playlist on July 7th for players to practice on.

- Ladder opens: 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET

How to qualify
Ladder matches
- Open to Xbox FanFest fans in North America.
- Players compete for the top 8 in terms of points at the end of each day.

Weekly qualifications
- The best 8 teams of each day (16 teams in total) make it into the Sunday qualification.
- Week 1: The top 4 teams at the end of the bracket reach the series finale.
- Week 2: The top 4 teams at the end of the bracket reach the series finale.
- Week 3: The best 8 teams at the end of the bracket reach the series finale.
Season finale
- The 16 best teams that have advanced out of the Weekly Qualifiers compete in a double elimination bracket.

Earn 2x points in Game Pass quests this month
