Microsoft got its act together with Windows 11. The newest and most current version of the operating system is a complete success, and the truth is that in addition to new features, the current version brings together all the good experiences they learned with Windows 10. In fact, version 10 of the operating system has been the most accepted by gamers for quite some time.
Now it looks like Windows 11 will take over. There are many reasons, beyond the possibility of running Android games and applications, the truth is that this version contains details such as DirectStorage that make the difference if you like playing video games.
Windows 11 continues to steal Windows 10’s share
It seems that recent data from Valve supports the idea that this is an operating system for gamers. Based on a survey conducted by Steam for the month of August, Nearly 24% of gamers already prefer to use Windows 11 to play
If we look at the podium and its movements, Windows 10 loses the share that Windows 11 takes and almost the rest of the operating systems less designed for gaming.
- Windows 10 64-bit: 69.06% (-4.11 points).
- Windows 11 – 23.78% (+2.66 points).
- Windows 7 – 2.6% (+0.56 points).
- macOS – 2.5% (+0.76 points).
- Linux – 1.27% (+0.04 points).
6-core processors, the most used
Another fact is that 6-core processors are, for the first time in quite some time, the most popular option for gaming. The fees are currently as follows:
- Intel: 67.91% (+1.65).
- AMD: 32.6% (-1.67).
- Microsoft: 0.02% (+0.01).
Of course, it should be noted that this is a survey conducted by Steam and may not include all of its users as it is optional. However, the sample might be the closest thing to reality we can get.
