The era of incomplete games continues in full force. Despite a lot of development time and a good pre-launch phase with betas. As part of this, it turns out that the game won’t be complete when it releases on March 3, as it will have pending features that are part of the video game support.
According to official FAQ section of the game, it was revealed that Wo Long Fallen Dynasty will not have support for the Steam Deck version; this, without a doubt, can be a disappointment for console users and it is expected that there will be a timely update in this regard. But that’s not all, as it has also been confirmed that there will be no variable refresh rate for any platform, and for PC they will have an artificial cap of 120 FPS.
On the other hand, each user’s games will have normal save functions within each platform; but, in the case of cross-platform backup, this is not the case, since they will not have support in this regard, at least during the launch phase.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty incomplete release, details that make the difference
Among the things that are necessary for the performance mode of the game, we know, at the moment, that on no console we will have VRR, so the 60FPS performance mode will be managed automatically, but with the possibility of switching to a quality mode which goes to 4K and 30FPS. This only on next-gen consoles, as on Xbox One we will only have the game at 30FPS with no confirmation from another medium.
Finally, and along with the features seen previously on the PC game requirements, it has also been confirmed to us that Wo Long Fallen Dynasty will not support DLSS and XeSS at launch. Sure, they said they plan to introduce the features in the future, but didn’t specify anything.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty will arrive on March 3 for free for Xbox Game Pass players on Xbox and PC.
