The Warhammer 40,000 universe meets World of Tanks Modern Armor for the new Gladiators season.
A conflict of cosmic proportions begins as the current epic season, gladiators, action from Warhammer 40,000 and World of Tanks Modern Armor collide.
During this Empire-sized event, players can get five new Premium tanks inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe, two new 3D Hero Commanders (Volusad Thassius from the Ultramarines and Patricia Laserian from the Sisters of Battle) and six new 2D Standard Commanders.
This gives players a month-long, two-stage challenge against the forces of chaos or against the orcs. The Warhammer 40,000 event for World of Tanks Modern Armor begins on May 2nd and runs until June 6th, 2023.
In World of Tanks Modern Armor, the Leman Russ heavy tank makes its triumphant debut, a monstrous mechanized tank created exclusively for the console version. Named after the primarch of the Space Wolves Legion, the Leman Russ tank was developed and implemented in collaboration with Games Workshop.
All of this sets the stage for a month-long, two-stage operation against the forces of chaos and the orcs. In this massive, two-stage community event, tank commanders can join either the Space Marines or the Sisters of Battle.
In the second section, they then have the opportunity to switch sides. You can then join forces with other players around the globe to fight against the orcs and the forces of chaos. Destroying the Orcs will make the Orc content available to all players (for purchase or as a reward); the same goes for the Forces of Chaos and their in-game content.
Renowned director Jason Baughan (Hitman 2, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Fable: The Journey) is responsible for the soundtrack for the new 3D heroic commanders. Under his direction, 330 lines of dialogue for Commanders Volusad Thassius of the Ultramarines and Patricia Laserian of the Sisters of Battle) were impressively brought to life to engage the player and set the right tone for the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
“I’m proud of this project in every way, but if I had to single out just one aspect, it would be the commander voice acting. We’ve set a new bar for ourselves in terms of quality: hearing your Ultramarine or Battle Sister commander praise your victory in battle really elevates the gaming experience,” said Daniel Burr, Live Game Director for World of Tanks Modern Armor.
In addition to the Leman Russ heavy tank, the power of Warhammer 40,000 also comes to World of Tanks Modern Armor with new faction-associated tanks: the Nemesis tank destroyer, the Teefbreaka light tank, the Reaper’s Scythe medium tank, and the Ignis Purgatio medium tank.
