In September we shared our vision of continuous improvement Microsoft Flight Simulator by providing meaningful updates for the simulator every month. Today we are starting our second World Update and are pleased to be able to offer the Simmers an improved flight experience in the United States of America. Under the motto “E Pluribus Unum” (“Out of many, one”), the United States of America is a truly large collection of different areas – from coastal communities to colossal mountain ranges, from green plains to metropolitan skylines.
World Update II: USA offers an improved digital elevation model with a resolution of up to one meter, new air structures that significantly improve the appearance in several states of the country, and four new hand-built airports (Atlanta, Dallas / Fort Worth, Friday Harbor) and New York Stewart). We’ve also visually improved 48 other airports and added 50 new high-fidelity POIs across the country to make your state-side trip breathtaking in every way.
And that’s not all – this update also includes exciting new activities on every coast. Enjoy a flight of discovery through some of the most iconic locations on the East Coast, then fly west for an epic new bush trip through the Alaskan wilderness.
