The massive World Update XII: New Zealand has been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
For a long time it was a bit quiet around Microsoft Flight Simulator, but now it has World Update XII: New Zealand published.
Included are seven new cities recreated in minute detail, nine airports, and sixty-two handcrafted landmarks.
World Update XII: New Zealand features the following seven cities, created using high-resolution photogrammetry data and triangulated irregular mesh modelling:
- Auckland
- Christchurch
- Hamilton
- Nelson
- Queenstown
- Tauranga
- wellington
From renowned landscape developer Orbx, there are also 62 handcrafted attractions that you can experience from the air. And, from Orbx and NZA Simulations, there are nine handcrafted airports:
- Gisborne Airport (NZGS)
- Milford Sound Airport (NZMF)
- Martin’s Bay Aerodrome (NZMJ)
- Gorge River Airstrip (NZQE)
- Rotorua Airport (NZRO)
- Lake Tekapo Airport (NZTL)
- Whangarei Airport (NZWR)
- Westport Airport (NZWS)
- Quintin Lodge Airstrip (T004)
You can also test your piloting skills with three bush trips, three new discovery flights and four land challenges.
Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update XII: New Zealand is available free of charge to all owners. Microsoft Flight Simulator has also released another aircraft as part of its Local Legends Series in conjunction with World Update XII: New Zealand, the DHC-4 Caribou.
The DHC-4 Caribou is available today from the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace for $14.99 and comes with seven liveries:
