Xbox 360 Sonic Generations (Backwards Compatible) can no longer be purchased on Xbox

Sega has a very important launch with, Sonic X Shadow Generationswhich will be released on Xbox and the rest of the platforms in just a few months. This game has a particularity, it includes a remastered version of the first Sonic Generations released on Xbox 360 and which was backwards compatible.

Right now the game we can no longer compare in the Xbox Store. Sega has confirmed that it will continue to offer the game in different “packages” although with the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog If you purchased it, you will be able to continue downloading and playing it without any issues.

Sonic Generations takes a step forward with the arrival of Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic Generations will continue to be available via bundles of other iconic Sonic titles on Steam and Xbox. Current owners of the title will also be able to download and play it. Finally, we are happy to confirm that mods from the Steam version will NOT be affected.

We’re excited to share SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS with you this October and see a new generation enjoy this game as much as we do. On 9/9, the original Sonic Generations will no longer be available as a standalone title. However, we’ve heard your feedback and want to help preserve the game.

Remember that Sonic Generations on Xbox 360 on the new consoles uses HDR and automatic enhancement and frames per second, something that for many, surely, is more than enough for a game like Sonic Generations.
