Microsoft has been working for some time to improve its games and apps store. The Microsoft Store recently added new search filters which were announced with great fanfare by Microsoft. These filters include accessibility options
Filters for the language are also included, this is particularly important because it is a very bad user experience not to be clear in which language the game you are going to buy will arrive. Even if it seems that there is a will on the part of the Americans, the fact is that all is not going as it should.
Xbox languages should be better reviewed…
And it is that the percentage of games that have updated languages is very low. In fact, there’s currently no company policy that requires publishers to update this data, meaning users don’t know if a game is coming with voice-overs or just text in their tongue.
If we compare the Microsoft store with Steam, we will see that the difference in that sense is much higher from Valve. But it is that any Xbox competitor already offers this updated data, which does not leave the mark in good stead.
