Team Xbox is developing new ways to improve Xbox based on your feedback. This month’s update brings brand new experiences for Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), consoles, PC gaming, and wireless controllers.
Xbox app on Fire TV now available on Fire TV Stick (1st generation) and Fire TV Cube (2nd generation)
Earlier this year, Xbox announced a collaboration with Amazon that will allow Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries to play games directly from the Xbox app on select Fire TV devices via cloud gaming, giving people even more choice when playing their favorite games. Now, the Xbox app on Fire TV is available to customers with a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st gen) and Fire TV Cube (3rd gen), in addition to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd gen). This expansion gives gamers even more choice when playing their favorite games on devices they already own.

Not a member yet? You can easily register for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via the app.
Then all you need to do is connect a compatible Bluetooth controller and you’re ready to start playing! The Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense or DualShock 4 controller all work seamlessly. Once connected, you’re good to go!
Happening now – Find your Discord friends and channels from your Xbox
It’s now easier to get updates when one of your Discord friends is gaming, chatting, or streaming. Now you can jump into voice chat with them or watch their stream – all on your Xbox console, without having to use the Discord app on PC or mobile.
If your Xbox and Discord accounts are linkedyou can add your Disc ord friends to your friends list in the Xbox Guide by re-linking your accounts. Once you’ve re-linked your Xbox profile and Discord account, go to the Xbox Guide friends list.
Your Discord friends will appear under “Current” on the right side when they are playing a game or chatting using Discord voice.
Watch Discord streams on your Xbox console
You can now see anyone streaming directly on your Xbox console when you’re connected to a Discord call or voice channel! Have an epic moment you want to share? You can also stream your gameplay to your Discord friends.
Choose what you want to install for your games – on your Xbox console or PC
Do you want to install all downloads for a game, or choose which ones you want? If an Xbox or PC game you want to install on your Xbox console or PC (via the Xbox app on PC) has additional features, you can either install all of them, or customize your download to save download time and storage space.
More customization options for your controller
There are two new customization options for the Xbox controllers: Shift and Hold, as well as a key combination to turn the device off.
Toggle Hold (coming to Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and the Xbox Adaptive Controller) works similarly to Windows Sticky Keys. When enabled, this feature allows a controller button to be held down by pressing it once. This feature is ideal for accessibility when a player may need to press multiple buttons at once. To enable Toggle Hold, configure your controller in the Xbox Accessories app, select a profile to configure or create a new one, select the Edit Button and then select the button you want to change.
You can also easily turn off devices when you no longer need them, using a new controller shortcut. With your device turned on and connected to your Xbox console, simply open the Xbox Accessories app, select the More options Menu (…) for the device and then select Turn off device.
