Bringing Console Streaming to the Global Xbox Insider community

We at Team Xbox are excited to launch in 2020 with an important update to the Xbox Console (Preview)!

Xbox Insiders Inside all countries are supported by Xbox One can try to preview and help shape the future of game broadcasting today. It means you you can try the Xbox Console (Preview)!

The Xbox Console Broadcast is our new system that lets you play your own and installed Xbox One games, including Xbox Game Pass titles, on your Android phone or tablet, which are streamed from your home console. We consider community previews as an important step in our journey to bring game streaming to Xbox players around the world! We learn from Xbox Insiders like you whenever you participate in this new technology.

Team Xbox is excited and inspired by the response from those Xbox Insiders in the US and UK who have been participating since its launch in October. The community provided excellent feedback that has already improved the experience. And we continue to deliver improvements within the preview. In fact, Xbox Insider joining us will soon benefit from the latest advancements in the upcoming update. We look forward to getting more feedback from a broader set of players from a variety of genres from all over the world!

How to Participate in Console Stream (Preview)

Here's what you need to know about the Xbox Console (Preview) stream to get started:

• You must be an Xbox Insider, a supported region, with an Xbox One console registered in the Xbox One preview ring to participate first. Additional requirements:
  • A phone or tablet running Android 6.0 or higher, via Bluetooth 4.0 (mobile data charges may apply)
  • Bluetooth Xbox One wireless controller
  • Microsoft Account with Xbox profile, and high speed Internet connection (ISP fee may apply)
  • While not required, we recommend a control point for that test gamers on the phone
• Download the Xbox Game Streaming app (Preview) from the Play Store.
• The app will guide you through setup on your Xbox One registered. This includes a test to confirm that your home network, console and controller are ready for Xbox Console streaming:
  • Network testing ensures that your network connection and setup meets minimum requirements:
    • NAT type: Turn on or off
    • High bandwidth
    • Network latency: required 125 ms or less, 60 ms or less preferred
    • Console settings: Power optimization should be fast
