In the first quarter of the year, Microsoft’s Xbox hardware sales fell 29%.
The financial results for the first quarter of the 2025 financial year are available.
Microsoft recorded a 29% decline in Xbox hardware sales for the period.
In gaming, however, sales increased by 43%, with 43% coming from Activision Blizzard.
The group also states that sales of Xbox content and services increased by 61%. 53% of this can be attributed to the takeover of Activision.
Activision Blizzard itself generated sales of $1.69 billion in the first quarter.
