Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha Ring (2002.200113-2000)

Hello Alpha Users! Today's Xbox Insider release notes highlight the latest fixes, known issues, and features that come to your console. Starts at 2:00 p.m. PT today, users will receive the latest update of the 2002 Xbox One system (build: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_2002 18363.9108.200113-2000). Continue reading for more details.

System Update Details:

• Released OS version: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_2002 18363.9108.200113-2000
• Available: 2:00 p.m. PT – January 15, 2020
• Optional: 3:00 a.m. PT – January 16, 2019

New features of Alpha

With today's update, we're bringing you more ways to keep My Games and apps organized! Users will now find:

• Split content for easy navigation and access to your games and apps
• The embedded settings within the app to facilitate how you interact with your collection
• Test labels and demos

Alpha adjustment

We have heard your response, and are pleased to announce the following amendments that have been applied to this 2002 construction:

The sound

• Users should no longer see their headphones switch to Windows Sonic from Dolby Atmos when the console is restarted.

Public

• Users no longer have to encounter an error when skipping spaces on a public tab.

Profile

• Fixed an issue when users couldn't take their Avatar profile photo.

The system

• Various revisions to display in local languages ​​are good for the console.

Alfa Known Issues

We understand that some issues have been listed in the previous Xbox Insider Release. These problems are ignored, but it will take Xbox developers more time to find a solution. Thanks for your patience this time!

The sound

• We know of a problem where users who enable Dolby Atmos formats (home theater or headphones) on their console can find errors playing Netflix with Atmos enabled movies.
  • Working: Disable Dolby Atmos in settings while fully handling and troubleshooting.
• Users with Dolby Atmos enabled and display display settings set to 120hz at 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) suffer Dolby Atmos audio loss in some cases.
  • Working: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or less.

Texting

• Users cannot send a voice message while in Party.
  • Workaround: Send a message while you're not in the party chat.

My Games and Apps

• The size options for users in the collection come back larger in some categories.
• Some users reported the focus was lost while navigating the collection.
  • Working: Navigate to Home, open the guide, select My Games & Apps tile, press the menu button and select “refresh

Color profile

• Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when enabling the console.
