Hi Xbox Internal! Did you know “You can report a problem” with Alexa skills?
Detailed reports on features and experiences of the Xbox One help us provide meaningful feedback to Xbox developers. But we know that some prefer to submit reports without a control and a virtual keyboard on the console.
Team Xbox improves talk-to-text to make your Xbox One a much better experience. In the years that allow us to work and play-for-free, your smart device holds the key to providing developer convenience on Xbox. If you type a virtual keyboard then the controller is not your favorite mode, now you don't have to!
"Alexa, you told Xbox …"
Last September, the Xbox family had more growth with Alexa, but we didn't talk much about what AI could do for Xbox Insider. Before we get started, though, make sure you have one set up Alexa for your Xbox One device
with these steps:
- Sign your Xbox One console
- Install the Alexa app on your mobile device and search Xbox In skills
- Sign in with your Microsoft account after you select Xbox ability
- On your Xbox One console, make sure "Digital Assistants" are allowed below Settings
- Follow the instructions in the Alexa app to pair your console with your Alexa-enabled device
Are your devices paired? That's fine. Now comes the fun part. Just say, "Alexa, Tell Xbox to interrupt."
Once you've answered the questions (with a word, no hands are required!), Select the appropriate section and sub section on your Xbox One. Your written report will appear on your screen in your console to confirm before submitting.
The Alexa app is available on Google Store and Apple App Store, for Android and iOS devices respectively. Find out what else can do for you while you're at it Xbox One console
