At Xbox, we know that the joy of gaming can fuel dreams, which is why we’re excited to partner with organizations that continue to inspire their fans to reach for the stars through the power of gaming. Today we’re excited to expand our sponsorship with the Los Angeles Lakers, a world-renowned team known for inspiring generations of athletes to reach for the stars and make dreams a reality on and off the court. To celebrate, Xbox is partnering with the Lakers and philanthropist and NBA All-Star Dwight Howard to remodel part of the San Fernando Valley Boys & Girls Club and give club members the opportunity to live through the new Dream Space of the San Fernando Valley program to dream big.
Transform a former multipurpose room into a state-of-the-art gaming lab for 20 students – complete with all the bells and whistles, including new artwork, custom purple and gold Xbox Series S consoles, gaming PCs, screens and more – the new Xbox Dream Space lets kids do it to experience the joy of gaming while discovering their own passions.
Longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, Dwight Howard, also surprised the kids with a private meet-and-greet and their very own chance to team up and go head-to-toe on the court and in their favorite Xbox Enter Game Pass titles featuring the NBA Champion and eight-time All-Star himself. Inspired by the club’s shared vision to foster a life of purpose and community, Howard was honored to join Xbox and the Lakers in sharing the joy of the game to bring more fans to the Los Angeles area.
