Microsoft is officially lowering the purchase prices for expansion cards, and it’s doing it drastically.
A few weeks ago we informed you about the leak of a new brand of expansion cards for Xbox Series X | S, which until now had always been exclusive to Seagate. The brand was WD, Western Digital, which also took the opportunity to lower the price compared to that of Seagate, thus bringing the price of 1 TB closer to ordinary users. But Microsoft has just anticipated that it will become official by permanently lowering that of Seagate.
At the moment we can only see the change in the american version of xboxin which the prices in relation to the previous taxes remain as follows:
- 512 GB – Seagate expansion card: $89.99 – Before $139.99
- 1TB – Seagate expansion card: $149.99 – Before $219.99
- 2TB – Seagate expansion card: $279.99
Expansion cards, more affordable three years later
Although it has not yet arrived in Europe, it is a matter of time, since the price drop is really significant, assuming the prices are extrapolated as is, we would have that for only $ 89, the card d The 512GB expansion would be affordable and a real relief for Xbox Series S users, for example, who are more limited with the same amount of base memory.
Hopefully they’ll arrive soon and open an interesting doorway for old and new users alike to see how their SSD fills up with a few installed games, like the massive Warzone or the recent example of a single-player title like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with its almost 80 GB. We will be attentive to news regarding discounts in other countries, which do not seem to be active on the page.
