Wisdom’s original Guardians of the Galaxy themes can now be heard on various streaming platforms
If the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise can be proud of anything, it’s having one of the best soundtracks of history, both in cinema and in the world of video games. Mainly because of the large number of legendary songs from the 80s that make up the famous mixtapes
We refer specifically to the four pieces of electronic music which combine rhythms and voices from other planets, a bass capable of destroying Earth and the ability to destroy any dance floor in the galaxy. Composed, interpreted and produced by the composer Richard Jaques, nominated for the BAFTA and IVOR NOVELLO awards. All of them, plus two additional songs, have been collected in the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Welcome to the Knowhere EP Video Game Soundtrack
List of songs included in this compilation accompanied by a brief description by Richard Jaques:
- Weird bazaar: “Intergalactic synth rhythms merge with heavy and intense beats.”
- Nice try, Terran: “Alien hypnotic techno with extraterrestrial trance vocals.”
- Mantlo’s Bar: “Rocket’s favorite place. Industrial breaks with exotic astral songs”.
- The collectors store: “Surround Sounds new age which include the ethnic wind”.
- Confrontation with Lipless: “Confrontations influenced by the spaghetti western which add the main theme of the Guardians”.
- The caucus: “An inspiration stadium rock with chants of emerging crowds.
