10 iPhone 14 rumors that failed miserably

Apple devices are the most filtered. For months we have been hearing rumors about its possible design or new functions, and we can practically know them almost 100% before they are presented. However, rumors aren’t always right. And with the iPhone 14, they failed miserably in many cases.

For this reason, You don’t have to believe all the rumors that pop up. We’ve gone through everything we’ve posted on the rumors and there are plenty of iPhone 14 leaks that turned out to be completely untrue.

Those iPhone 14 Rumors Didn’t Come True

Camera flush with the device and only a hole in the screen

This was the first rumor we heard about the iPhone 14, a leak that came before the iPhone 13 was presented and couldn’t be more wrong. Jon Prosser showed off the alleged iPhone 14 Pro design and a year later, nothing looks like that design.

In this leak we had the fully recessed cameras with the body of the device, and this year the cameras stand out more than ever. we also had a small hole for the front cameraand not the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 Pro. Moreover, we have also seen circular volume buttonswhich has not been fulfilled either.

8K video recording

The leaks about the iPhone 14 Pro’s sensor size were spot on, and the 48-megapixel shoots 8K video. However, Apple decided that iPhone 14 Pro can’t record in this resolution, At least for the moment. We’ll see if third-party camera apps allow it.

This rumour, if true, will allow for much deeper zoom than other competing devices, but the telephoto sensor still remains at 3x on the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple is already preparing it for the future adding 2x zoom to the camera which is a cutout of the main sensor. We may see this sensor in the future.

iPhone 14 Pro Titanium

The material used in the iPhone 14 Pro is again stainless steel, as in previous generations. However, some information claimed that Apple was going to use titanium in its new iPhone 14 Proa lighter and more durable material than we already have on Apple Watch Ultra.

Face ID under the screen

Another rumor that failed. It is true that it appeared before the arrival of the iPhone 13, but of course that Face ID sensors are still very present in the iPhone 14 Pro. And given what Apple has created, they’ll probably be around for a few more years.

It’s something that is said every year, but that Apple never stops launching. Thanks to the night mode, we can take great photos in low light, but to photograph the night sky, some editing is necessary. But for now, we have to keep relying on third-party apps.

Double hole in the screen: pill + circle

Even though technically it’s a rumor that has not been deniedIn the iPhone 14 Pro we have a double cutout on the screen that is linked by software, the truth is that the design of the iPhone 14 Pro is not the one that had been leaked. Instead of two holes, we only have one which also has advanced functions and a name: Dynamic Island.

The name iPhone 14 Max

We knew the iPhone 14 mini wasn’t coming out and it would be replaced by a new 6.7-inch iPhone, but everyone called this model iPhone 14 Max, when it ended up being called iPhone 14 Plus. Weeks before the presentation, this name had already been leaked.

256 GB storage minimum and 2 TB maximum

It seems that the the internal storage of the iPhone 14 Pro was going to increase until reaching a maximum of 2 TB, also leaking that the basic storage would increase to 256 GB. And finally neither. The iPhone 14 Pro retains the same storage capacities as the iPhone 13 Pro.

The costs

With the prices, we had all kinds of rumors, and none succeeded. On the one hand, it was said that only the iPhone 14 Pro would increase in price, and in the countries where they have increased in price have all models. But in the United States, too, the price of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro has not increased by a single dollar. No one seemed to be clear about this.
