This year 2023 is about to end and with this we can conclude the dynamics that Apple has carried out throughout this year. It was undoubtedly a year focused on the iPhone 15 and the presentation of the Apple Vision Pro in addition to the presentation of the M3 chip which lays the foundations for the new products that we will see throughout 2024. Among these products appear AirPods. Apple is expected launch two new 4th generation AirPods models and new AirPods Max, leaving the AirPods Pro design renewal for 2025. We’ll tell you everything below.
Hint
Two new 4th generation AirPods and new AirPods Max for 2024
Not so long ago we explained to you what the main differences were between AirPods 2 and AirPods 3. The latter were renewed last year with a new design but no noise cancellation. Remember that Apple currently sells AirPods 2, AirPods 3, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max. AND This has been one of Apple’s mistakes throughout this year.
The presence of AirPods 3 at a price of $199 does not include enough new features to be able to choose them over AirPods 2. Users therefore opted for AirPods 2 or AirPods Pro (279 dollars). The wide range of possibilities and the few differential changes wreak havoc for consumers and it has taken its toll on Apple this year.
However, everything will change from 2024, or at least that’s what analyst Mark Gurman says in his Sunday newsletter on Bloomberg. Apple considers launch a 4th generation of AirPods with two different models.

A 2nd generation AirPods Max worth asking for
This 2nd generation of AirPods Max will have new colors which will increase sales with USB-C charging leaving aside the Lightning that Apple is definitely squandering. In addition, we will have new features inside and in the hardware so that the change is significant enough for undecided users to decide to access these headphones.
Gurman also assures that at Apple they are starting to try technology to enter the world of headphones, a world that generates billions of dollars throughout the year. Similar tools currently exist in accessibility features, but AirPods are not created specifically to serve as hearing aids. However, an engineering section at Apple is reportedly testing technology aimed specifically at hearing-impaired users. We will see if this will happen in 2024 or if it will happen in 2025 with a new generation of AirPods Pro.
