Do you happen to play an album or a list but you want to order at the same time without modifying the original list? Apple Music has the default playlist in a sequel called, reiterating, Up Next. Just tap the icon in the bottom right corner of the playback screenare 3 rows with bullet points.

Drag any track into the order you prefer. You can also swipe right on a song that’s in a list. choose the purple icon to put it next or orange to put it at the end of the current list. Personally, I do the combination of playing a special list and ordering on the spot with Up Next.

Sometimes we don’t feel like listening to the same music as always, the lists we have already stored in the library and it’s better to discover something new. You can use this trick which is related to our mood. The folks at Apple have hundreds of cool playlists and you can find them in the Explore tab.

You can also search for them by entering a keyword, for example: chill, party, concentration. Depending on what activity you are about to do, whether you are about to sleep or going to exercise.

For new music, weekly recommendations and more

Something good about Apple Music is that it doesn’t stop you from recommending music, whether it’s recent releases or mood lists (like the previous tip). There are playlists created automatically by Apple experts. Based on algorithms, they are dynamically updated and the best thing is that they are personalized. The activity that we generate daily is very useful for the creation of these lists.

Find out in the Listen Now tab and locate the For You listing. Select the Mix: New Music playlist to see what’s new. There are lists created from what your friends listen to on Apple Music and others that are created with moods but with artists you listen to.

Equalizer and storage settings for audio quality

To finish with this top tips, music quality is something important that each user should adjust to their liking. Do you remember the advent of lossless audio? If you’re not on a WiFi connection, it’s important to note that your offline music will remain normal at 24-bit/192kHz quality by default.

Fortunately, almost entirely the Apple Music catalog is available in this lossless audio format. If you store songs in this format, you should consider that it will take up more storage space. It is much better to manage the audio quality separately depending on whether you have an internet connection or in the case of downloads.

In Settings –> Music –> Audio Quality, you need to adjust the quality of offline downloads, Wi-Fi or 5G and cellular streaming. For example, you can set your device to never download lossless music and only do so when connected to Wi-Fi. Remember that to take advantage of this format it only works with wired headphones.

For EQ you need to go to Settings –> Music –> EQ. Choose the one that best suits the music you listen to every day. The equalizer is disabled by default, enable it if you want to change the audio experience.
