Apple AirTags are capable of both good and bad. In a way, they reflect human nature with its strengths and weaknesses. The same way one day they are used to harass and stalk people while another they help recover lost items.

Perhaps one of the most notorious cases involved an airline that lied about some suitcases that were eventually found through the use of AirTags geolocation.

A couple, a suitcase, an AirTag and a happy ending

As you may have seen, there are thousands and thousands of cases regarding Apple AirTags with some absolutely amazing stories and some not so much. This time we bring a beautiful happy ending to a couple who had been looking for their suitcase for four months.

According to information from Business Insider, a couple residing in Ontario (Canada) who were returning from their honeymoon in Montreal, Quebec, lost his suitcase at the airport.

Nakita Rees and Tom Wilson said that when they arrived home, they located the suitcase using an AirTag and saw that it was still in Quebec.

They contacted the airline and the police and eventually found out it had been donated to charity!

In a TikTok video that has gone viral, Nakita Rees explained the situation and how they believe the suitcase ended up in an airline “processing center”.

“The only reason we got the suitcase back is because it achieved such notoriety. And that’s sad.”

From Air Canada explained that their customers traveled in late summer at a time when all Canadian airlines were recovering from the problems caused by COVID and one of the biggest consequences was a high rate of baggage delays.

Nakita Rees thinks everything this is a bit suspicious, after mentioning that they had found his suitcase among 1,200 pieces of luggage in just 24 hours when they had not been able to do so for the previous four months. Finally, in January, their suitcase was returned to them. Hooray for this feisty woman!
