Gaming mobiles are not dead, as shown today by the new RedMagic 8S, the most powerful gaming mobile on the market. There is always a demand among Spanish users for a device that offers the performance necessary to run the latest games, but is there also the same, but in tablet format?
At RedMagic, they hope so, because their new surprise for the gaming market is their first tablet. simply called RedMagic gaming tabletis a product as simple as its name: it “only” claims to be the most prepared tablet for video games on the market, both in terms of “hardware” and “software”.
The new device continues RedMagic’s expansion into the market beyond mobile phones; In addition to the tablet, it already presented a computer screen before (and to connect our devices), and it seems that this will only be the beginning.
RedMagic’s tablet
RedMagic’s first tablet is based on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which can be accompanied by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Nothing we haven’t seen in some of the ‘premium’ tablets on the market so far; the interesting thing is that RedMagic promises that we will be able to harness the true power of this chip, thanks to the new ICE Magic cooling system integrated. The company claims it is able to lower the temperature by up to 5 degrees at the most demanding times, which is important because current processors reduce their power if they approach dangerous temperatures.
In other words, better cooling means better performance, and this tablet will be able to run all of today’s games without issue. Of course, playing on a tablet can be tricky; while some touch controls are suitable for a larger screen, others can be tricky. For this reason, RedMagic promotes that we can connect a keyboard and a mouse to this tablet, to control games as if it were a gaming computer or a video game controller.
It’s like a video game console, although there are few consoles with that 12.1-inch screen and a 144Hz refresh rate; the IPS panel promises up to 600 nits of brightness and the bezels are thinner for a sleeker design. Otherwise, it’s still an Android tablet, with a 16-megapixel camera and a 13-megapixel front camera. The battery is 10,000 mAh and the fast charge is 80W.
The RedMagic gaming tablet was first shown in China, where it will have a starting price of 3,899 yuan, about 494 dollars to change. Its launch in Europe has not yet been confirmed.
