It’s the time of year for compilations, for retrospectives, to take stock of what we’ve done in 2022. About a month before 2022 ends and we start 2023, the music we listen to and have listened to deserves our attention. In Apple Music we can already enjoy Apple Music Replay 2022.
A compilation that makes a visual tour of the music we enjoyed the most this year, and that it does so both in the form of a playlist updated in real time, and graphically. Compiling the songs, artists, albums and playlists that we have listened to the most in an interesting animation that we can find on replay.music.apple.com.
A way to honor the music in our lives
Like last year, Apple shows us Apple Music playback stats in a simple way, but this year it’s doing it in a much more visual way. As we can see in the screenshots that accompany this article, and very much in line with interactive websites that the Cupertino company has accustomed us towe go through the information in a very simple way.
The Replay site, after having identified us with our Apple account, that “you have listened to X songs. A few have caught your attention.” The same goes for artists, “only a few made the difference” and with albums, well “these are the best”. Finally, Apple Music tells us that “you’ve listened to X playlists. Some over and over again.”
Next to each of these sections we find the first five of each category then the top 10 in a slightly more condensed format. Touching any of them we go directly to the author, album or list to start listening to it. In the meantime, if we get to the bottom of the page, we find the playlist which, based on everything we have just seen, brings together our 100 songs of 2022.
This same list appears in the bottom of tab Escuchar from the Music app on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Once inside, we can add it to our library to enjoy it whenever we want. Keep in mind that this is a playlist that is updated in real time, so until January 1, 2023 our listening will influence what it is.
It is also in this section that you can find our Replays from previous years and do a retrospective of what we listened to a few years ago. Similar to soundtrack editions like Separation, Replay 2022 is a great way to celebrate the music in our lives and do it in style.
