Nothing has given any clues in recent days as to what its next mobile phone will be, the Nothing Phone (2a). This is its first mid-range device, as revealed by the brand, and it has been seen in Europe thanks to the Mobile World Congress, which is currently being held in Barcelona, with stellar appearances like the car Xiaomi electric or the mobile with battery for more than three months.
At EL ESPAÑOL – El Androide Libre we went to the corporate area to see this design for ourselves. After the multiple official leaks, most of the aspects it was going to have were clear, such as its Glyph interface to offer the user information through lights on the back.
Since then, Nothing is one of the most different manufacturers it’s on android mobile market. This device, which will arrive in a lower price range than the Nothing Phone 2, which already had a low price, promises to be one of the most interesting options in the mid-range.
What is expected in the design
The backlight of Nothing mobile phones is one of their biggest distinguishing features, and that is why the company did not want to remove this feature from the phone (2a). However, due to the different placement of the rear camera module, which in this case is horizontal and centrally located, the rear structure is slightly different, revealing a simpler design, but which maintains the characteristic aesthetic of the manufacturer.
In fact, in this case there are fewer lights, which could help reduce its price. They are located around this module, one of them being straight and the other two curved. Of these, the one at the top left is longer. These are expected to be able to take advantage of most of the lighting options their predecessors had.
The volume buttons are located on the left side if viewed from the front, while the power button is on the right, as can be seen through the window in which the terminal is displayed. There is a model in white and another in black, as the company usually does.
Beyond its design, the device will launch a MediaTek 7200 Pro processor, being the first mobile phone to include it inside. According to the brand’s data, it represents a jump of 18% in power and 16% in efficiency compared to the Nothing Phone (1), so excellent results are expected in this regard.
