Just look at how profitable the external battery industry is to see that have become the essential accessory for many people. Cell phones are advancing and improving at a breakneck pace, but we continue to use decades-old battery technology. Even Apple has jumped on the bandwagon with its MagSafe battery.
And the higher the energy demand, the more power these batteries have acquired. We saw it with Mophie, and now we have the chance to see it with the Belkin Boost Charge and Your Options. With it, we have additional autonomy, but also versatility. Let’s see.

The first thing you can appreciate about the Boost Charge 10K is its rounded edge design. It seems secondary, but allows a comfortable grip with the hand
The MagSafe ring that the iPhone is lined up with for charging is clearly marked on this surface, and a top slot leaves a perfect space for the cameras bulge. I did my tests with an iPhone 13 Max, so the battery is hidden underneath (the opposite must be the case with the iPhone 13 mini, for example).
On the underside we have two ports: a USB-C and a classic USB-A. With the latter, we can charge an additional iPhone or any other device that you can connect to, while the USB-C port also serves to charge the battery itself in addition to charging more terminals.
Therefore, you can charge up to three different devices (two with cable and an iPhone using MagSafe) or you can connect the battery to charge it and also serve as a charging base for two other devices. This gives a lot of versatility, which is precisely what is most requested in batteries of this type.
As for autonomy, the 10,000 mAh allow me charge the entire battery of my iPhone 13 Pro Max at a more than decent speed (the 7.5W is noticeable) and there is still a bit of charge left to maybe give the AirPods a boost. If you charge more devices at the same time, this charging capacity is reduced, but it’s still enough to save you a day when you have to depend on your mobile.
The cable included is a three-meter USB-C to USB-C, a suitable length to carry it in the backpack without bulging it too much, although we could still use the USB-C cable from another device ( like that of an iPad Pro) to be able to charge the battery without any problem. A charging adapter is not included, but at the height we are at, I’m not going to complain: Apple’s own adapter or whatever we can buy works fine.
What I do not recommend is to use the mobile with the battery connected behind it, because with the example of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, you have more than half a kilo in your hands. It is best to connect iPhone to the battery only when we are not using it, for more convenience.
The MagSafe docking station is also capable of carrying second generation AirPods in its case, and is used to charge any other iPhone or smartphone with Qi charging
The Boost Crarge 10K is not only a good battery: it also works as a charging base whether or not connected to the current
Interestingly, I found myself using this battery not as an auxiliary charger, but rather as a charging base to use during the day. Since the iPhone 13 Pro Max has so much battery life, I went from charging the phone overnight to doing it whenever I worked at my desk. The 10K Boost Charge works great as a charging base, especially since you can avoid having cables in the way. In any case, let it be the battery itself that you leave to charge overnight.
You sure wouldn’t if, instead of having an iPhone 13 Pro Max, you had an iPhone 13 mini, needing more charges during the day or a full charge at night. But still, the capacity and all the possibilities of use would give me peace of mind to be able to choose the charging routine that I prefer.
Seeing all of this compatibility and flexibility of use, I would recommend this Boost Charge 10K to anyone with any iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 model. If you have an older iPhone and aren’t considering plans renewal, I would tell you to look for a battery with a similar capacity without MagSafe and therefore have something more universal.
But if on the other hand you want a battery specially designed for your iPhone 12 or 13, with versatility, charging alternatives for more devices and a higher capacity than the official MagSafe battery, This 10K Boost Charge is a good choice if you don’t care about its weight.
