A few days ago we were talking about a small renovation that was starting to come to Google Home for better service. This setting is called google sensitivity, and although it started appearing on other users a few days ago, it seems to be already available to everyone.
However, Google left the project cooked in half. It is currently only available in English, but far from that Google tradition, in this case they have made a very big design mistake.
Design error with the Google Home app: to give you a new feature but withheld
Sensitivity adjustment is one of the most awaited Google Home users. The purpose of this function is to be able to measure whether the controller can be helped by what the command is OK Google
Google likes to give us some of the lime and some of the sand, and even though it's begun to send this work, it's begun to do it in a messy way. As always, this new feature is not available in Spanish, something about Google products is more than usual. In this kind of situation, something normal can be hide the menu so that only users can use it. This can be a great practice for designing a user experience, a great practice that Google is constantly using.
Instead, Google has chosen to offer a new setup for everyone in the future, once you're signed in, to warn you that this functionality is not available in your language.
Where does the setting not work?
- We open the Google Home app on the mobile phone we use to configure the speaker.
- Inside our house, we look for a speaker we want to prepare.
- Once selected, we will have three buttons in the top right corner. Double click (gear wheel).
- This will take us to device settings. We'll have to look at one called Sensitive «Ok Google»
- We'll be in the Google Home sensitivity adjustment menu.
At the moment the status of the correction is a little amusing, since the correction itself is being translated into Spanish and when we are inside informing us that it is not available. Wasn't it easy to hide the menu when Google wasn't available? Because at the level of programs it is possible to place a language check within the settings menu rather than the last button.
