The AirPods Max are Apple’s most exclusive over-ear headphones and are priced at 579 dollars. Since its launch in December 2020, we have not yet seen a new generation, although it is assumed that throughout 2024 we will see the AirPods Max 2. In the meantime, Apple has released a new firmware update for these AirPods Maxthe version 6A324. Until now we have never been able to know what new features these firmware updates include, but the recommendation is to keep our devices up to date.
6A324, the new version of AirPods Max firmware
Apple has released a new firmware version for AirPods Max. In September last year, the version launched was the 6A300 and The new version has the code 6A324. This is important because it allows us to differentiate if our headphones have been updated or if, on the contrary, they are still in the version prior to today’s launch.
As on other occasions, Apple does not publish the new features included in the AirPods firmware updates since the only thing it publishes is “Bug fixes and other improvements”. However, this is more than enough reason to keep our headphones updated.
We also take this opportunity to provide a brief summary of the firmware versions currently available for each of the AirPods models marketed to date:
- AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) with MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C): 6B34
- AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) with MagSafe Charging Case (Lightning): 6B34
- AirPods Pro (1st generation): 6A321
- AirPods (3rd generation): 6A321
- AirPods (2nd generation): 6A321
