August is usually a very quiet month in terms of Apple releases. The company usually announces new iPhones and Apple Watches in September, so don’t expect any news until then. What was shown at WWDC 2022 is already on sale.
So what will Apple do in August? First of all, after the launch of the first public beta version of the next operating systems, the company will update it during this month. The premieres of Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade will also arrive.
What Apple hardware products will arrive in August 2022?
Now that the MacBook Air with M2 and MacBook Pro with M2 have been released, all the products announced by Apple are already on sale (even if your order won’t arrive for a few weeks).
From time to time, Apple surprises us with new versions of Material, but in this case they appear directly on their website, without an event to officially present it. That would be products like the AirPods, but we don’t think that will be the case.
The last time Apple announced a new product in August was in 2007, when new 20-inch and 24-inch aluminum iMacs arrived. In 2006, Apple also introduced a new Mac Pro with Intel processors at WWDC.
In September, instead, Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch Series 8 (which could include a new, larger “Pro” model). The company could also announce a new Apple Watch SE model.
This other Material will he come this fall? We believe the company has planned launches for the Mac mini with M2, a new 10.2-inch iPad, possibly new iPad Pros with M2, and new AirPods Pro.
What Apple software will arrive in August 2022?

iPadOS 16
For the most part, iPadOS 16 mimics iOS updates, though the new Visual Organizer feature (only for iPads running M1) is a big first.
We also explain how to install iPadOS 16 beta on your iPad.

New to macOS 13 include Continuity Camera apps, Weather and Clock, Visual Organizer, and other updates. The updates usually arrive after the iOS ones, so they could arrive in October or November.
We explain how to get the macOS Ventura beta.
watch OS 9
watchOS 9 brings news in sleep tracking, features aptitude and new spheres. If you want to be the first or the first to try them, install the beta version.
tvOS 16
Although tvOS 16 will not bring many new things, it will still be updated this fall to be in line with other operating systems. We also know how to test the beta version.
